In the 2022 Winter Olympics, a Russian figure skater tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The IOC announced that if this skater won a medal, none of the medalists would have a ceremony. I created this illustration in response to that news story.
Nostrovia is an English bastardization of a Polish and Russian term meaning cheers. In this illustration, I drew inspiration from Slavic paper-cutting motifs.
